Luxury Wedding Spotlight: The Beautiful Love Story Between Lynda and Orugba that Led to #LOUNION 21.

The countdown to LOUNION21 is quickly timing out. Lynda and Orugba, who now like to be called, The Osimas are set to tie the knot on Saturday, the 11th of December 2021. The wedding shall be a high-caliber event with guests from all walks of life, who have been a huge part of their 2-year love journey united by their goodwill for the couple, in order to celebrate their high-fashioned wedding within the halls of 5-star luxury hotel, Sandralia Luxury Hotel, located in Abuja, Nigeria.

The event has been in the works, with Celebrity wedding organizer, weddingbysea events coming on board as the Wedding Events Planner, and the Photography carried out by kdbweddings. The event has been on everyone’s minds since an awe-inspiring proposal at Sharkexpress Sea Food restaurant in March 2021 in Lagos State, Nigeria, followed by an introduction to family members in June, and then a traditional wedding in the bride’s home state of Idemili North, Anambra in September, a court wedding in October at Ikoyi registry, Lagos, Nigeria, 2 bridal showers in November in Lagos, and all roads lead to the big event on the 11th of December 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Abuja, followed soon by a fun-filled reception in Sandralia Luxury Hotel Abuja, and an even more exciting after-party.

WHO THEY ARE?

The wedding event is sure to be the talk of the town in a couple of days, as the groom, Orugba Leo Osima, the 33 year old Founder and CEO of braveleocouture, A Nigerian Luxury Fashion brand whose styles have been displayed on blogs such as debonairafrik, bellanaija etc. His vision has been brought to life on various stage plays and movie sets, and most recently, he created the native fashion pieces displayed by the judges at the just-concluded Nigerian Idols 2021, and the bride, Adaobi “Lynda” Okonkwo, is a 27 year old actress with over 15 movies under her belt, a voice-over artist and CEO of Bold Wooman, a luxury lifestyle brand, with products and services targeted at plus-sized women.

HOW DID THEY MEET?

Lynda, who hails from Anambra State, the first child of Engr and Mrs Innocent Okonkwo, and Orugba Osima, son of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Osima of Delta origin who serves as the only son from a family of 6, first crossed paths on November 15th 2019, on a movie set in Lagos, where Lynda had a role in the movie, and the groom served as the Fashion designer for the lead actor, they noticed each other, and then later on, were duly introduced by mutual friends, Ray and Titi, who thought they looked alike and should totally meet each other.

FIRST IMPRESSION

Lynda says her first impression of Orugba Osima, was, “Who is this guy and How is his height so amazing?” and Osima thought, “Wow, she is exactly what I like, Tall, Beautiful and Busty” when I queried him on how he only liked her for physical looks, he says that’s how it started, but today, he is in awe of her beauty, peace and grace.

FIRST DATE

It is said that Lynda and Orugba’s love story has been a raging fire since it started, which was evident in the fact that their first date was on November 16th, which was exactly the next day after they met, their stars had aligned, and they were very excited to see where their journey will take them.

IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU MOST ALIKE AND DIFFERENT?

They claim that they are most alike in their beautiful love of exquisite food, They love to see nice places together, They are said to really look alike by peers and family members alike, they are both really generous, and have very likeable personalities. Their differences: He likes to sleep a lot, She doesn’t. He is extremely street smart and she isn’t, She loves to dance and can break into a dance anywhere, even on the sidewalks, and he could never be caught doing that.

HOW WAS THE PROPOSAL?

The proposal was an absolute shock, they had been dining with friends at Sharkexpress Sea Food Restaurant Lagos, unbeknownst to the bride, her soon-to-be fiance had put her whole family on Zoom to surprise her with the proposal, and before things could get suspicious, A lunch date with lots of sea food and cocktails, turned into a bout of emotion from the brides friends and family, who got overly excited on the virtual call from Abuja, Lagos, The United States, and lots of countries from which they celebrated the impending union.

HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/ SHE WAS THE ONE?

Lynda says she knew he was the one the moment I realized how selfless he was, even when dealing with other people, and Orugba says he knew the same through his strong intuition.

WHAT MAKES THEM WORK?

The bride thinks it’s understanding, “I understand his mood even before he speaks, and it’s the same way for him, We both really understand what gets the other person going and what absolutely turns them off”.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT HIM/HER?

Lynda says she loves how supportive he gets and how he makes my issues his, and how with him, I feel like I can do anything, and He says, he loves her sincerity more than anything.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO ABOUT BEING MARRIED?

The bride says she is looking forward to remaining bestfriends, and always having each other’s backs through every rosy time and every gbas gbos, that come their way. The groom says he is looking forward to having a beautiful family together and living in peace and grace.

FAVOURITE THING THEY DO TOGETHER

They love to go to the beach together, hang out together and laugh always and forever.

WHO NORMALLY WINS A FIGHT?

The bride always wins the fights.

WHO WILL FALL ASLEEP FIRST TONIGHT?

The groom says he definitely will.
